Like every artist, I use my work to tell me how I feel about the world. To know what’s important to me.

“I’ve always been interested in the special way each person moves.  I think the way an individual walks and sits and stands expresses a lot of their character.  In other words, their body language.  Sometimes I don’t know how I feel until I draw it, paint it, or sculpt it.

I’ve always loved color.  It still amazes me how color changes when juxtaposed to another color.  To me it is like magic.

I love music and dance both as a participant and spectator.  Much of my work has been inspired by these activities.

I love my family and friends.  Most will pose for me when I ask.  Some of my family and friends pose at different stages in their life.

I never know what is going to inspire me.  Since I started painting, sculpting, drawing, etc. I always wonder if I will find a new vision that will excite me and help me share my vision with others.

I like to share the emotions that people awaken in me.  Sometimes, I will see something that will make me laugh and I turn it into art so I can share the laughter.  And other times, I see pride, sadness and concentration that captures my imagination and that I know we all share.

I want to help people see in a new way.”
